KID ROCK BLASTS JUDGE

Musician Kid Rock has blasted a judge who will not let him perform for US troops in the Middle East for community service.
Kid, who was married to former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson for six months in 2006, was ordered to serve 80 hours of work after he and members of his entourage were involved in a fist-fight at a Georgia Waffle House in southern Atlanta in October last year.
Judge Alvin T Wong refused his request to take to the stage to do his public service.

BRAD PITT PRAISES MOUSTACHES

Burn After Reading star Brad Pitt is on a mission – to bring back moustaches.
The 44-year-old heartthrob is proudly showing off facial hair and admitted: “That's my goal. I don't think 'staches are respected enough.
“It's political. It's a political statement.”
His good friend and co-star in Burn and the Ocean's Eleven series, George Clooney, is also sporting a moustache for his latest film, Men Who Stare At Goats.
On a more serious note, Pitt has confessed he and Angelinia Jolie could marry – if it was important for their children.

PATRICK SWAYZE HITS BACK AT HEALTH RUMOURS

Cancer-stricken actor Patrick Swayze has hit back at magazine reports that he is close to death.
The Dirty Dancing star, 56, who is battling pancreatic cancer, is furious at stories that the cancer has spread to his liver and one headline which read “Swayze Deathbed Secret.”
Magazines gave him just weeks to live when he revealed is diagnosis in March.
But he has responded well to treatment, including chemotherapy, and was able to work gruelling, 12-hour days on his new television series, The Beast.

PRODUCER SUED FOR DROPPING BRUCE WILLIS' NAME

A top film producer is being sued by his partner for allegedly claiming he could get Bruce Willis to star in his films.
Arnold Rifkin, former president of the William Morris Agent, and Willis formed Cheyenne Enterprises in 1999 and produced films starring Willis including Live Free or Die Hard, Hart's War, Bandits and The Whole Ten Yards.
When they parted company in 2006 Rifkin teamed up with producer Chris Eberts to form Rifkin-Eberts early last year.
Now Eberts is suing Rifkin for at least $3.5 million.
He claims Rifkin told him he was still good friends with Willis, who was “committed to starring in future projects.”

MISSING SOPRANOS JUROR FOUND IN JAIL

A missing juror hearing the murder trial of former Sopranos TV series actor Lillo Brancato has been found - behind bars.
Juror Randy Blunt, 34, was missing when the New York court opened for the trial of accused cop killer Brancato on Monday.
As a result, testimony was delayed for two hours until Blunt was replaced with an alternate.
Court officials later discovered that Blunt had been arrested during the weekend after being accused of punching his 15-year-old stepson in the face.
Prosecutors allege that Brancato, who got his start co-starring opposite Robert De Niro in the drama movie A Bronx Tale, was involved in the killing of an off-duty police officer while trying to steal drugs.

POLANSKI'S BID TO RETURN TO USA

Runaway filmmaker Roman Polanski is trying to return to the United States 30 years after he fled from California just before he was due to be sentenced for having sex with an underage girl.
Lawyers for the Oscar-winning The Pianist director have asked a court to dismiss the charge against him due to misconduct by the judge and prosecution involved in the notorious case.
Polanski made his escape in 1978 after learning that the judge intended to make an example of him for having sex with the 13-year-old even though he believed that he had done a deal with prosecutors.

PHOTOGRAPHER SUES RIHANNA

Singing sensation Rihanna is being sued for $1 million by a photographer who says he was beaten up for taking a picture of her and her boyfriend.
The boyfriend, rhythm and blues singer Chris Brown, is also named in the suit filed by Luis Santana, 26, in Florida.
Santana claims security guards for the 20-year-old Umbrella singer and Brown stole his $3,000 camera and attacked him when he took a picture of them though their open limousine window outside Brown's 19th birthday party at the Vintage Ultra Lounge in St Petersburg.
The club and three guards are also named in his legal papers.

DUBAI HILTON FOR PARIS?

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton is in talks to lend her name to a tower block in Dubai for $2 million.
Las Vegas celebrity booker Mike Esterman, who brokers deals for stars to appear at nightclubs and promote parties, said Hilton, 27, is having discussions with wealthy businessmen in the emirate.
“A ribbon cutting is her only appearance, and they get the rights to her name,” he told columnist Doug Elfman.
Hilton commands a higher fee than B-listers on the Vegas red carpets, where reality show star Kim Kardashian asks for $25,000 to $30,000.
Esterman added: “I book her, but I don't have a lot of buyers at that dollar.”

FRIENDS STAR GETS A NEW JOB AS A DOCTOR

Former Friends star Courteney Cox has landed a new job - as a doctor.
The 44-year-old actress, who played Monica Geller on the long-running hit show, is joining the cast of medical sitcom Scrubs.
Cox will play the sexy new chief of medicine, Dr. Maddox, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
It is rumoured that Cox's former Friends co-star Matthew Perry will also be showing up on Scrubs in later episodes.
 

BRANDON DAVIS PRANGS PINK'S CAR

Pop star Pink is furious with oil heir Brandon Davis after he rammed her BMW in the car park of a Hollywood nightclub.
Davis, 29, who dated Irish-American actress Mischa Barton for two years, made an early-morning run to an off-licence on Sunset Boulevard and backed into the car parked outside the Viper Room.
Under the watchful eyes and cameras of the paparazzi Davis walked into the club to tell Pink, also 29, what had happened.
She came out to inspect the damage – a crumpled door – did not look happy, and was heard asking to view video of the accident.
Because Davis informed her and nobody was injured, the police were not involved.

CSI STAR'S MARRIAGE BREAK-UP

CSI television series star Marg Helgenberger has separated from her husband of nearly 20 years.
The 50-year-old actress has called it quits with actors union boss Alan Rosenberg, 58.
The couple have an 18-year-old son Hughie.
"After 19 years of marriage, Marg and Alan have decided to take some time apart," the actress's spokesperson said. "They love and respect each other and remain committed to their family."

JENNIFER HUDSON'S EX BROTHER-IN-LAW ARRESTED

The brother-in-law of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson has been arrested on charges of murdering her mother, brother and seven-year-old nephew.
William Balfour, 27, who is estranged from her sister, Julia, was arrested hours after the bodies of her mother, Darnell Donnerson, 57, and brother Jason, 29, were found in Donnerson's house.
The body of Julia's son, Julian King, was found three day's later in the back of Jason's abandoned car, 10 miles from the family home on Chicago's South Side.
All three died of gunshot wounds.
Balfour was not charged with murder but transferred to an Illinois state prison where he was held for violating parole stemming from a 1999 attempted murder conviction for which he spent seven years in prison.

KIRSTEN DUNST WINS RESTRAINING ORDER

Spider-Man star Kirsten Dunst has won a restraining order against an obsessed fan who started turning up at her Hollywood Hills home.
Alleged stalker Christopher Smith was “aggressive” and “harassing” according to court papers, and claimed “he has some sort of spiritual connection” with the actress.
Dunst, 26, most recently seen in How To Lose Friends and Alienate People, said in her court declaration: “Mr Smith has repeatedly shown up uninvited at my place of residence in Los Angeles, going so far as to ignore police warnings, bypass my personal security measures, trespass on my property and attempt to gain entry into my home.

BIG ROW OVER NOTORIOUS MOVIE

The actor playing dead rap icon Notorious Big in a controversial new movie about the slain star's life has furious when the late hip hop singer's widow was barred from meeting him on the film set.
Jamal 'Gravy' Woolard flew into a rage after learning that Biggie's wife Faith Evans had been prevented from entering his trailer.
He vented his anger on an assistant after he discovered the widow had paid a visit to the film set with her son but was not allowed to see the man playing her late husband in the biographical flick.
"When Gravy found out, he let that guy have it: 'Do you know who she is? Y'all
better learn to respect. If it wasn't for her you wouldn't even be here,'" Evans revealed.

BRITNEY WANTS A HUSBAND

Recovered pop star Britney Spears hopes it will be third time lucky when it comes to finding a husband.
The Womanizer singer, who turns 27 and releases her new album, Circus, tomorrow , has not been put off marriage by her 55-hour pairing with childhood friend Jason Alexander or her bitter divorce from Kevin Federline after two years.
“In five years I would like to be married and have a father figure for my kids, someone who is a provider and can be really stable,” she told Glamour magazine.
“It's hard doing it on your own.”

DEPP TO STAR AS 007 LEGEND SIR ROGER MOORE IN BIOPIC?

     Quirky Pirates of the Caribbean actor Johnny Depp is being lined up to star as Sir Roger Moore in a movie about the life of the James Bond legend.
     Sir Roger's newly published memoirs are set to be turned into the Hollywood biographical picture, according to reports.
     Two top U.S. production companies are rumoured to be battling for the screen rights to the book - My Word Is My Bond - which was released in October, it is claimed.
     The autobiography details Sir Roger's exploits with legendary Hollywood co-stars including Elizabeth Taylor, Lana Turner and David Niven in the 1950s and 1960s.

MILLA JOVOVICH TO WED ON-OFF LOVER

     Movie beauty Milla Jovovich is finally to wed her on-off lover.
     The Fifth Element actress, who is preparing to walk down the aisle for the third time, will this time marry filmmaker Paul W.S. Anderson.
     The couple became engaged in 2003 but parted ways before reuniting and welcoming their first child, Ever Gabo Anderson, last year.
     Now the 32-year-old Ukrainian-born star, whose films include Ultraviolet, Zoolander and The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, is ready to make their union official - despite having two failed marriages to actor Shawn Andrews and director Luc Besson behind her.

TROUBLED SUPERMAN RETURNS PRODUCER HIT WITH NEW SEX HARASSMENT CLAIMS

     Embattled Superman Returns movie maker Jon Peters has been accused of sexual harassment by a male colleague.
     The troubled Hollywood mogul has been hit with a sensational lawsuit by film executive Brian Quintana, who co-produced the forthcoming sequel Superman: Man of Steel with 63-year-old Peters.
     This is the latest in a string of legal woes for Peters, who has also been accused of sexual harassment by two women.
     Quintana alleges he had to endure a shocking barrage of gay sex demands, being sexually roughed up by the producer and that Peters threatened to break his legs.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO SELLING HOUSE

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio is selling one of his houses in Malibu for a titanic US$8,999,000.
The modern house sits on a bluff overlooking the Pacific ocean with a stairway leading to a beach cove below.
It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms in 2,374 square feet, with marble fittings and a steam shower in the master bathroom.
There is a separate guesthouse with two suites and four-car garage.
The Blood Diamond and Gangs of New York star, 34 whose latest film, Body of Lies, opened this month, is tipped for a fourth Oscar nomination for his next picture, Revolutionary Road, which re-teams him with his Titanic co-star, Kate Winslet, and opens on Boxing Day.
 

MEL GIBSON TO BE QUIZZED OVER PASSION FINANCES

Actor and director Mel Gibson has been ordered by a court to make a sworn statement about a legal battle over money from The Passion of the Christ.
Screenwriter Benedict Fitzgerald is suing Gibson over his labour of love, claiming he conned him into accepting a lower fee than normal because it was a low-budget production and not expected to make much money.
He also claims Gibson told him he would not take any money from the production until the cast and crew had been paid.
In fact, the 2004 film, which cost just $30 million to make grossed more than $600 worldwide.
Fitzgerald claims he is owed $10 million.
